Ball Don't Lie Casting

Specs

Nana-yaw. 100%. Although he's never acted before I know he'll be able to.

He lowkey is a real life Specs, always fronting about how he'll cross everyone up but he's not that good at basketball. He'll be great. I can also count on him to be reliable and committed (much love Nana-yaw)

Panda

Jack Pandya - Great guy, did GCSE drama so has some acting experience.

I know he'll be reliable too and he's a relatable enough character and person that he'll definitely work for the part.

Bounce

Ethan - he's actually believably good at basketball, a good foil to Specs/Nana-yaw. Has done GCSE drama so has atleast some acting experience.

Downside is he lives quite far away.

Nick -  Turns out Ethan was too unreliable (film is very behind schedule now), Nick is my new best friend.
Jokes aside, Nick is also great at basketball, doesn't have acting experience but he'll pull through. Also doesn't live too far away.

CD Chris

Cairo for sure. Long time friend, I know he'll be reliable and has a great mean mug which will fit the character nicely.

Blake - turns out for reasons I cannot disclose, Cairo could not film on that specific court.

Luckily Blake is a good alternative. He lives close as well and is confident enough I know he'll be able to act the part well.

Kneehigh

Herve - Being honest, the casting for this character doesn't matter too much.

Herve fits the mold because he's slightly below average height (sorry Herv) and is good at basketball.

Zed

George - Possibly the least relevant character in the whole film, Zed is about as much of an extra as it gets.

George is a good pick because he lives close and is reliable. Him and Kneehigh's parts were still integral to the film, and so I have a lot to thank them for.

X

Jeremiah - long time friend, incredible at basketball, can dunk! (wow factor) and is confident enough to be a good actor with no experience.

Ethan is back! - Turns out Jeremiah was also unreliable (oh yet another day wasted), so I'm going back to the OG unreliable cast member Ethan. Still good for this part for all the reasons he was good at Bounce.

Wow, this film is having Hollywood esc dramatic disruptions.

Y

Jack - last minute find for the part. Is believably good at basketball and only needs to say a couple lines which I believe he can manage.

Also lives close and will be reliable.

Girl #1

Izzy - my girlfriend, knew she'd be very reliable and she lives close.

Girl #2

Scarlet - my girlfriend's best friend, once again she is a reliable person and doesn't live too far away.
